HACIENDA ZORITA ORGANIC FARM
Just 15 minutes from Hacienda Zorita we come to the dehesa of the Duero Valley, where we are surrounded by huge expanses of evergreen oak woodland and natural pastureland. In this protected space you can see the Castilian churra sheep and the Campania buffalos (from the milk of which we produce the raw milk torta de dehesa cheese and mozzarella) and how our acorn-fed Iberian pigs roam free-range on the pastureland; their meat is cured in the cellar-drying warehouse. You will see wild bulls run free and the vines and trees of olive varieties from Las Arribes del Duero, from which we make our extra virgin olive oil.
Then we will visit the production centre for natural foods of the Duero, an enclave set in the dehesa, where you will find out how we make our cheeses and how we cure our acorn-fed Iberian meat in the cellar. You will learn the secrets of extra virgin olive oil...
